The depths of the summer school holidays are often when businesses (well, businesses that are not camp sites and beachfront cafes!) get a little bit quieter with staff and customers on leave, and perhaps take stock, order stationary and clear out the cupboards. Not so at Sprechen! As we roll into August we are at full steam ahead, working hard and winning new contracts.
We have spent a lot of time working on app development, been coding until our fingers go numb, and playing with some fun retargeting campaigns. We love working in an industry that ever stands still. Advances and development in digital technology mean we are always learning, and therefore benefiting our clients with new-found knowledge. Our sister company Sprechen WiFi has been in great demand, taking us all over the south installing Wi-Fi in a variety of businesses. Steve even got to nose round the All England Tennis club this week (home of Wimbledon). Sadly Maria Sharapova was not there at the time...
That's not to say we haven't been having a reasonable amount of fun too - Vicky has been for a short holiday to Zurich (home to her sister), and adores how different the city every time she visits. Swimming in the lake and watching the city bustle by is very different to walking around the chilly lake in the snow with armfuls of Christmas shopping! Steve enjoyed sampling the local Hampshire produce on offer at the New Forest show, has beaten his personal best at ParkRun and has taken delivery of a Santa sleigh (watch this space!). Sam has been visiting family and preparing to move house in Winchester, while Laura is looking forward to heading to a famous party island with her friends. Oh, and Great British Bake Off is back - time to get the stretchy-waist trousers out.
No rest for the wicked here at Sprechen - now, back to work!
