Last Friday saw the Sprechen digital collective enjoy long evening of pizza, cider (and possibly Jägermeister) to celebrate another year of success. We like to think we are young and fit but sadly one late night had a significant effect on the health and well-being of Sprechen, and left us jaded and poorly for most of the week. Luckily full fitness was recovered in time for this weekend, which was packed with sunny Hampshire weddings.
In between these two sociable weekends Steve has resumed lecturing at the University of Winchester, worked to provide Wi-Fi at a charity auction in Piccadilly, put the finishing touches on an e-commerce website and finished an app for a client’s trade show. Vicky has been writing copy for client advertorial, scheduling heaps of social media messages, writing blogs and liaising with magazines about editorial. Sam is now lecturing one lecture a week at the University, further extending the reach of Sprechen into developer education.
The Sprechen fitness bug is back after spending the summer snoozing in the sunshine – Steve has been out cycling all over the south of Hampshire, Laura has become addicted to her Fitbit and Vicky has re-joined a road running club to get back into shape. She's also signed up for some horse riding lessons in an effort to ensure skills from her youth do not desert her forever.
Steve is still spending his spare time creating the Winchester Santa Sleigh from a milk float, MDF, some salvaged car parts and a large pot of red paint. The sleigh has its own Facebook page and website, so make sure you spread the word with any other Winchester folk you know so that local children will all the chance to meet Santa during December!
