Arrival of the Sprechen-hog

It's been a few weeks since we have given you an update on life in the Sprechen digital collective, and since then it feels like winter really is just around the corner. The clocks have gone back and yesterday was the first day of leaving the office in the dark since the spring - suddenly Christmas seems close enough to start thinking about. On that festive subject, Christmas may well become one of Steve's most stressful events after the long and somewhat painful process of the Santa Sleigh - more on that next week though!

So what have we all been up to? Well Steve has been busy meeting with clients, doing endless coding and building apps, as well as teaching at the University of Winchester and preparing for the Winchester Bonfire and Fireworks. Vicky has been writing copy, blogs, social media content and generally hassling Steve for adverts and design assets! She has also taken on a hedgehog that was found rather thin and worse for wear and who would not have survived a winter hibernation - now called the Sprechen-hog. Not doing much there to dispel the 'country bumpkin' label there! Laura has been a star keeping the office running smoothly during this busy time of year and making sure everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing.

Outside of work the shorter days mean less beer gardens and outside fun, and more cinema visits, open fires and cosy restaurants. Vicky is slightly obsessed with the Danish concept of 'hygge', roughly translating as 'cosy' and as such is filling up her cottage with lamps, tea lights and lighting the fire if it's even slightly chilly outside. Steve has been 'snowed' under (ahem) with his work on the Santa Sleigh, and is rarely seen in any of his usual haunts around Winchester. Rumour has it his running trainers are gathering dust and cobwebs just in time for Halloween...
